Genetics Graduate Students must consult with the Genetics Program Director before making any final commitments to faculty members.

 

 

Selection

Faculty name to be submitted to the Graduate Programs Director*

Deadlines for obtaining Director’s approval and notifying Genetics office of your selection.

Rotation Period I

(Sept. 5, 2006 through Nov. 10, 2006)

One name, but you must confirm your choice with the faculty member.

1:00 p.m. Friday, Sept. 1, 2006

Rotation Period II

(Nov. 13, 2006 through Feb. 2, 2007)

One name, but you must confirm your choice with the faculty member.

9:00 a.m. Friday, November 10, 2006

Rotation Period III

(Feb. 5, 2007 through April 27, 2007)

One name, but you must confirm your choice with the faculty member.

9:00 a.m. Friday, February 2, 2007

Major Professor

Your choice, with faculty consent‡

Friday, April 27, 2007

 

 

 

*Before turning in each rotation choice, you must check with the faculty member in charge of the designated lab to make sure they are willing to take you. 

 

‡You also need to verify that each selected faculty member does have money to support you should you wish to do your Ph.D. work in that lab.  The department will not approve mentors who do not have support for students.  Submit all choices to Barb Sears by letter or via e-mail (sears@msu.edu).
