Michigan State University is a major public research university and is renown for both its basic and applied biological research. The combination of agricultural, health-related and industrial research along with fundamental studies involving cell and molecular biology make MSU a stimulating campus.
To facilitate
these research programs, the campus has a broad array of supporting technical
services and instrumentation. These
include:

The University's
Science Library is maintained in the centrally located main library. Numerous
departmental science libraries are distributed across campus and serve the special
interests of various fields. These branch libraries provide convenient reading
rooms where subscriptions for up to 50 popular journals are maintained. Students
have access to modern computer facilities that provide state of the art research
support and worldwide communications with other scientists.
